Purpose of the game:
Bet on the color of the row which is going to have a total lower than the other one, knowing that this total must be always included between 30 and 40.
Previously, the croupier has to mix again six packs of fifty-two cards and asks one of the players by to cut them. He pushes aside the last five cards of the pack with a red card and places them in a bowl. When the red card goes out, it is the end of the "size", the croupier again has to mix cards. When the croupier announces "Faites vos jeux", the round begins. The player then has to make his bets among four possibilities, quite paid equally: "Rouge", “Noir", "Couleur "and" Inverse ".
The game :
The Thirty and Forty is played with six packs of fifty-two cards.
To play
Players have to bet at one the following chances:
1. Rouge or Noir (Red or Black)
2. Couleur or Inverse (Colour or Opposite)
Then, the croupier displays cards in front of him, from the left to the right, by two rows called respectively “couleur noire” (black colour) and “couleur rouge” (red colour). He loudly announces the total of points represented by cards he shows.
Points are counted for each of the two rows “couleur noire” and “couleur rouge”.
The Ace is worth 1 point. J, Q and K are worth 10 points and the other cards are counted according to their value.
The total of points the closest to 30 wins and determines winning chance “Rouge ou Noir”. The winning chance "couleur ou inverse" is determined by the first card of the first row. If this first card is has the same colour as the winning row, “couleur” wins and “inverse” loses. If it is not of the same colour, “inverse” wins and “couleur” loses.
